At a time where succession planning is more important than ever, the City of Belleville and Trenval are proud to be partnering to bring Succession Success: Confidential Exit Planning Program.

This free, entirely confidential program provides Belleville business owners thinking about selling their business with information on how to exit on their terms and avoid costly mistakes with expert advice and a clear roadmap.

The program will consist of three 90-minute information workshops with Certified Exit Planning Advisor Judith Pineault.

Participants can choose to take part anonymously in one virtual session on Sept. 23, Oct. 28 or Nov. 16 where they will learn about different options for transitioning their business, how to establish the selling price and how to maximize value.

After the session, they will receive four hours of free confidential, personalized coaching (valued at $1,200) where they will explore their business exit options, get a customized valuation range and build a clear roadmap to transition successfully.

“Planning ahead for the future of your business isn’t just about retirement – it’s about protecting the value you’ve worked hard to build and keeping jobs in our community,” stated Victoria Watts, Business Growth and Retention Specialist for the City of Belleville.

“By helping owners map out what happens next, we’re supporting the people behind the business and strengthening Belleville’s economy for years to come.”

“Succession planning is something that no business owner wants to think about but is crucial to preserving their company’s value and legacy,” stated Graham Copestake, Executive Director for Trenval.

“Whether you’re planning to sell, transfer or wind down, Succession Success will help business owners prepare for a successful transition with free expert support and practical tools.”

This program is open to all small-to-mid-sized business owners, regardless of where they are in their journey.

Registration for the information workshops can be done online. For more information on the program, contact info@smallbusinessctr.com.
