Suspected LSD among drugs seized in Madoc

By Hailey MacDonald Aug 28, 2025 | 10:02 AM

A search warrant in Madoc has resulted in a drug seizure and the arrest of two people for trafficking.

The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation earlier this year into drug trafficking in the area.

This investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant on Wednesday at a residence on Prince Albert Street East. The search involved members of the Community Street Crime Unit, the Central Hastings Detachment, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit.

Two people were arrested at the scene, and investigators seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, suspected LSD, a number of unknown pills and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Christopher Bosworth, 44, of Madoc and Holly Sinclair, 42 of Centre Hastings, have each been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Bosworth faces an additional charge of possession of a Schedule 3 substance.

Both accused have been released from custody and are slated to appear in Belleville Court on Sunday on October 6.
