Belleville’s biggest charity golf day just hit another hole-in-one for local healthcare. BGHF’s Fairways for Fractures raised a record-breaking $140,035, to support the redevelopment of the Fracture Clinic at Quinte Health, Belleville General Hospital.

The event, held on Thursday, September 18, at Black Bear Ridge, saw the business community, sponsors, and players come together in unwavering support of their regional hospital.

“This event is about more than just golf—it’s about rallying our community around the need for excellent healthcare close to home,” said Steve Cook, Executive Director, BGHF. “I want to acknowledge the incredible generosity of title sponsors McDowell’s Your Independent Grocer Belleville and Stedman LaPalm Insurance Group, along with all our sponsors, donors, and players who make the day so successful – and fun!”

Over the past seven years, Fairways for Fractures has raised over $664,000 for the redevelopment of the Fracture Clinic at BGH.

“This year’s tournament comes at a critical time,” noted Wayne Sheppard, Board Chair, BGHF. “These stellar results bring us within $250,000 of our fundraising goal for this project. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get so close to the finish line. Together, we’ll transform the Fracture Clinic into a state-of-the-art space worthy of our hospital staff and the patients it serves.”

Participants enjoyed a premium golf experience, including delectable offerings from Burger Revolution, Giant Tiger and Maple Dale Cheese, refreshing Swing Easy Beer and fun activities and competitions from Peter Smith GM, Kita Beauty, County Axe and Steve Marshman Jewlery.
