Northumberland OPP is seeking help in identifying a suspect involved in a hit and run.

On October 18, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of County Road 30, and County Road 35.

Emergency Medical Services all responded for the pedestrian who was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

It is believed to have arisen out of an incident where one motorist stopped, exited their vehicle and was then struck by the other vehicle before leaving the scene.

The complainant described a white Nissan Qashqai with a plate similar to DMV711 and had yellow backing, in the format of a service plate.

The driver was believed to be a male in their late 50’s or in their 60’s.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect and vehicle involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Campbellford OPP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
