STATEMENT FROM BELLEVILLE MAYOR NEIL ELLIS ON FACEBOOK –
As I reflect on the results of this election, I want to sincerely thank everyone who voted, volunteered, put up signs, knocked on doors, made phone calls, and supported my campaign. Your time, dedication, and encouragement meant so much to me, and I am truly grateful to everyone who stood alongside me throughout this journey.
I would also like to extend my sincere congratulations to Paul Fleming on his election as Mayor of Belleville, and to all the members of City Council who were elected. I wish Paul and the new Council every success as they take on the important responsibility of serving our community.
Serving as Mayor of Belleville has been an honour, and I am proud of what we have worked to accomplish together over the years. I have always believed that public service is about people, community, and working together to make Belleville a better place for everyone.
Although this election marks a new chapter for Belleville, my appreciation for this community and the people who make it special remains unchanged.
Thank you to my family, friends, campaign team, volunteers, and every resident who took the time to speak with me, share their concerns, and offer their support. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful city.
