Hawks offence held down in Pickering

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 27, 2025 | 11:21 PM

The Trenton Golden Hawks dynamite offence ran into a brick wall between the posts in the form of Anthony Sciere.

The masked man of the Pickering Panthers made 42 saves to silence the Hawks 4-0 on Saturday night.

Trenton’s frustration started early in the game when they outshot the Panthers 13-7, but trailed 1-0 on the powerplay keyed by the only penalty they took in the period, thanks to a goal by Joshua Brady.

The Hawks had some of their better chances in the second, but still couldn’t solve Sciere, who kept the Panthers afloat until they broke away in the final frame.

Landen Stevens, Carter Fogarty and Joseph Cadorin (into an empty-net) strung together key insurance markers to ground the Hawks and hand them just their second loss of the season.

Hayden Jeffery made 26 saves to suffer his first loss of the season.

The Hawks will look to rebound back at home Friday versus the Burlington Cougars at 7:30 p.m.
