Walk, bike or run to give all people in Belleville a place to call home.
Today, All-Together Affordable Housing will host Belleville’s Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly fundraising walk, bike and wheel event beginning at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Founded in 2007, All-Together Affordable Housing provides affordable rental housing across the Quinte region, working alongside local agencies and community partners to support tenants with a wide range of needs and circumstances.
Central to All-Together’s mixed-income supportive housing model are innovative joint ventures with private and public-benefit developers, along with strong partnerships with local agencies and community organizations. These relationships allow tenants who need additional assistance to remain connected to the organizations that support them while living with greater independence.
The event gets underway at 3 p.m. Saturday with check-in and opening remarks at 3:45 p.m., with everybody being sent off after that, more details are on the Ride for Refuge Website.
The fundraising goal is set at $20,000, with all money raised going to help provide programs and supports for tenants, assist with start-up costs for people moving into their new homes and provide emergency rent support for existing tenants when unexpected circumstances put their housing stability at risk.
