Belleville resident charged in home invasion and assault last December in South Frontenac

A Belleville resident is one of two people charged in a break-and-enter and assault late last year in South Frontenac Township

Members of the Frontenac Crime Unit of the OPP stated two individuals reportedly entered a residence in the township on December 1, 2025 and assaulted the lone occupant with a weapon, resulting in injuries.

Following an extensive investigation into the home invasion, police arrested and charged;

Joshua Rightmeyer, 20 years old of Belleville, with;

  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – three counts
  • Break and enter a dwelling – house
  • Assault
  • Disguise with intent
  • Failure to comply with probation order

Brandon Truscott, 39 years old of South Frontenac Township, with;

  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – three counts
  • Break and enter a dwelling – house
  • Assault
  • Disguise with intent
  • Counselling to commit an indictable offence not committed- four counts
  • Failure to comply with release order
