A 19-year-old Cobourg resident is facing multiple charges following a family dispute that spanned over two days.
This past Sunday, police received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Cobourg.
Investigation revealed that a verbal argument within the home escalated, resulting in damage to property and threats being made by a male.
The next day, police responded to a second incident involving the same individual after they returned to the residence and allegedly threatened to damage the property when denied entry.
Further damage was caused to the home before police arrived and took the individual into custody.
He was charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, uttering threats to damage property, and possession of a schedule I substance.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
