Quinte Conservation and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks, will be hosting an information session for the community.
The session at the main QC office in Belleville on Wednesday, September 16th will be all about the Water Soldier plant. The invasive plant has created problems for boaters and native plants in the Bay of Quinte, as it creates a dense mat in the water.
Information booths will be set up from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the presentation from 6 p.m. to 8 pm. Registration for the free event is required.
The discussion will center around herbicide treatment.
