County music legend, rock star, philanthropist, and author Dolly Parton has died.
Her nephew Bryan Seaver made the announced through a video that was posted on her social media accounts.
Parton died peacefully today in Nashville at the age of 80.
She had cancelled a series of shows since the fall of last year. Parton had said she was battling health issues following the passing of her husband.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Parton’s Imagination Library.
