The OPP’s East Region Community Street Crime Unit has charged two men, in connection to an investigation in South Frontenac.
Police have been looking into reports earlier this month, about stolen property.
The OPP executed a search warrant at a South Frontenac property and uncovered the following.
- Approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Approximately 2 grams of suspected fentanyl
- A quantity of assorted pills
- Stolen property, including a camper trailer, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), dirt bike and assorted hand tools
- A homemade conducted energy weapon (CEW)
- Approximately $1,000 in Canadian currency
- Digital scales
Two people have been charged in connection.
Timothy Reid of South Frontenac is charged with three counts of possessing a schedule 1 substance of the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession property obtained by crime over $5,000. In addition to one count each of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, possessing prohibited device or ammunition, and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The 38-year-old was held for a bail hearing.
The OPP have also charged Greater Napanee resident Derek Veley with failing to comply with a release order. The 57-year-old also was held for a bail hearing.
