The investigation is continuing following a grim discovery in the Bay of Quinte near Belleville.
On August 20, 2026 (Thursday night), at 10:47am, Belleville Police were notified of a deceased person in the Bay of Quinte. Emergency Services attended and recovered the body. The investigation is continuing under the direction of the Chief Coroner’s Office with assistance from members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigation Division.
