The Association of Municipalities of Ontario hosts an annual conference each August, bringing together people from 444 municipal governments across the province.
The City of Belleville has announced, that current Councillor Sean Kelly has been elected to the AMO Small Urban Caucus. Five candidates were running for the four positions.
“I am honoured and humbled by the support of my municipal colleagues across Ontario. Small urban municipalities are the backbone of communities across this province, and we have a strong and important voice when it comes to the issues that matter most to our residents. Belleville has a tremendous story to tell, and I look forward to making sure the priorities of our community and other small urban municipalities are part of the conversation at AMO. There is a great deal of work ahead, and I am excited to get started,” said Councillor Kelly, in a statement provided by the City.
