Northumberland County OPP have charged a Colborne woman in connection to a collision in Brighton on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision on Main Street just at 1:40 p.m. No serious injuries were reported.
Police believed that one of the drivers was impaired, which led to them being taken to the OPP station for testing.
The suspect, Carolyn Robia of Colborne is facing the following charges.
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
- Driving while under suspension
- Fail to have insurance card
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Operate unsafe vehicle
The 53-year-old has had her license suspended for 90-days and vehicle impounded for 45-days. Robia has a September court date in Cobourg.
