Pick-up truck recovered west of Balsam Lake

OPP officers in the Kawartha Lakes are trying to piece together how a pick-up truck landed submerged west of Balsam Lake, near the town of Coboconk.

Police were called on Saturday, August 15th, after the truck was found fully submerged in a canal. The OPP happened to already be in the area searching for a missing aircraft and pilot that left the Oshawa area on Friday.

Officers believe the pick-up truck was unoccupied. The truck was removed from the canal.

The OPP continue to investigate and are looking for those who witnessed the incident or have video, to contact their office or Crime Stoppers. Please reference OPP incident #E261178007.
