A disciplinary hearing will be held on Monday for two officers with the Belleville Police Service.
The Service’s new Disciplinary Hearing and Decisions Page lists a hearing on August 17th at 10 am for Constable Paul Fyke and Constable Jeffrey Smith.

Both officers were involved in a case involving an arrest of Mario Baptiste Jr. at a Taco Bell in the north end of Belleville in late 2019.
He suffered injuries which included a cracked rib and a broken finger.
Both officers were initially charged with assault causing bodily harm. Both were acquitted of that charge though Smith was later found guilty of the lesser charge of assault.
