2ND UPDATE at 8:30 am – OPP report that the lane was re-opened at 8 am. There were no injuries. Delays were still being reported through the area.
UPDATE at 8:15 am – delays have been getting worse with crashes reported before and after the fire scene.
ORIGINAL STORY – It has been a slow drive on the eastbound 401 through Brighton on Monday morning.
A vehicle fire was reported on the e/b 401 by Lake Road around 6 am.
The right lane and the shoulder were closed.
No word yet on injuries. Expect delays until they clear the scene.
