Carr plays hero in Raiders OT victory

The Picton Pirates had their comeback bid dashed in a 3-2 overtime loss Thursday night to the Napanee Raiders.

Andrew Carr notched the winner in extra time for Napanee after third period goals from Cole Stevenson and Jakob Gardner wiped out a Raiders lead.

Carter Slaven scored twice for Napanee in the second, accounting for his first two goals as a Raider.

Jacob Brown stopped 37 Picton tries in the win, while Nolan Lane was peppered with 49 shots, making 46 saves.

The PJHL Tod Division is off on Friday night, with the Frankford Huskies welcoming the Amherstview Jets at 7 p.m. and the Trent Hills Thunder visiting Port Hope at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
