The Dave Watson Memorial Car Show is held each year in honour and memory of Dave Watson, a respected builder, teacher, and mentor in the automotive community. Dave passed away from dementia on January 2, 2023.
Over the past three years, the event has raised more than $8,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Hastings Prince Edward, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support their programs and services. This disease has touched each and every one of us in some way.
Representatives from the Alzheimer Society will be in attendance at the show. Please feel free to stop by and see Amelia, ask questions, and learn more about the disease, as well as available supports and coping resources.
This year’s show will welcome vehicles from several provinces and U.S. states, and we are excited to feature Mad Man Customs from Quebec as well as Customs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A first-time feature this year will be Ratz Lair from Deseronto, who will be hosting valve cover races for both young and old.
Attendees can look forward to trophies, dash plaques, and goodie bags for the first 100 registered vehicles, along with plenty of great door prizes. Food offerings will include Herbert Incredible Fries for breakfast and lunch, as well as Ken at the lemonade stand.
We could not run this show without the generosity of our sponsors and the incredible support of our volunteers, who will also be on site and happy to help with any questions or concerns. Guests are also welcome to speak directly with George and Jessie (littlebrotherduke@gmail.com).
