An incident involving injuries to a male and property damage resulted in charges for a 26-year-old Belleville woman on Canada Day.
After 5 p.m., Wednesday, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute.
It was reported that a male and female had been involved in a verbal argument earlier in the afternoon while driving.
The situation reportedly escalated when the woman attempted to grab an item from the male driver’s hand, resulting in a cut to his arm.
It was further reported that, once the parties returned home, the female struck a television, causing it to shatter.
Following an investigation, the woman was arrested and charged with spousal assault and domestic mischief.
She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
