Thunder rumble past Pirates

Owen Ellis scored twice as the Trent Hills Thunder defeated the Picton Pirates 5-3 on Sunday.

Ryan Sherwin, Russell Duguay and Jack Andrews also notched goals for Trent Hills.

Joey Bonter had his first two of the season in the losing cause for Picton. Luc Amat scored once for the Pirates.

Parker Robbins was busy in net with 40 saves for the Thunder, improving them to 3-3-1-0 on the season.

Nick Parodo stopped 24 in his starting debut for the Pirates, who fall to 2-3-2-0.

The Frankford Huskies visit Port Hope for the second time in nine days after the Panthers

Puck drop is 8 p.m.
