The Member of Parliament for Hastings–Lennox & Addington-Tyendinaga is being welcomed to a new position in the federal legislature, to focus on provincial matters.
Shelby Kramp-Neuman has been appointed as Ontario Special Advisor in the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet as part of Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre’s cabinet shuffle.
She said in a statement she was honoured to be put into this position.
“Ontario’s priorities are Canada’s priorities, and I look forward to working with colleagues, families, stakeholders and all levels of government to ensure Ontario’s voice is heard by our Leader and
throughout our Conservative team,” Kramp-Neuman stated.
“I also want to congratulate Shuv Majumdar on his appointment as Shadow Minister for Canada–U.S. Relations. I look forward to working alongside him to strengthen the enduring partnership between Canada and the United States and advance the shared interests of Canadians.”
She added with the upcoming CUSMA review on free trade, it’s important for everyone to be on the same page.
“We all share the goal of protecting Canadian workers, businesses, and families, including achieving the removal of the unjustified Section 232 tariffs. Canada’s Conservatives stand ready to work constructively in support of that objective and to advance Canada’s national interest.”
