A vehicle was pulled off the road in Trenton on Wednesday for being unsafe after a near miss in Quinte West.
Officers responded to a traffic complaint in a Trenton parking lot after a vehicle was seen drifting and nearly striking another driver.
Thanks to quick reporting, officers tracked the vehicle down shortly after.
A full inspection revealed a vehicle that was completely unsafe for the road, resulting in plates being seized, the vehicle being deemed “unfit,” and it being towed and impounded.
The driver now faces multiple charges under the Highway Traffic Act, including stunt driving and operating an unsafe vehicle, along with violations for excessive tint, an obstructed windshield, no horn, defective brakes, no muffler, and more.
Reminder: Road safety isn’t optional. Unsafe driving and vehicles put everyone at risk — and officers will take action.
