This year’s McDonald’s McHappy Day campaign has put a lot of smiles on the faces of community members, including members of the YMCA of Central East Ontario.
The recent campaign raised $21,205.40 in support of the Y, helping provide local children with access to meaningful camp experiences.
“On behalf of our entire McDonald’s team, I’m proud to present this $21,205.40 to the YMCA of Central East Ontario,” stated Todd Shea, Owner/Operator, McDonald’s. “McHappy Day is all about coming together as a community, and we’re grateful to our guests and crew who helped make this possible.
The funds raised support both Ronald McDonald House and a local charity, and we’re especially proud to partner with the YMCA to help send local kids to camp. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and create lasting memories—and we’re honoured to play a part in making that happen.”
The YMCA of Central East Ontario highlighted the impact of community partnerships in helping make programs accessible to families.
“On behalf of the YMCA of Central East Ontario, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to Todd Shea and the entire McDonald’s team for this generous contribution of $21,205.40,” said Dave Allen, CEO & President, YMCA of Central East Ontario.
“Partnerships like this truly make a difference in our community. Thanks to the funds raised through McHappy Day, more local children will have the opportunity to experience the joy, growth, and connection that comes from attending YMCA camp. We’re proud to work alongside McDonald’s to help ensure every child has the chance to belong and thrive.”
Funds raised through McHappy Day will directly support YMCA camp programs across Central East Ontario, helping remove financial barriers and ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate, build confidence, and create lifelong memories.
