Two men face lengthy list of charges in major Belleville drug bust

Several drugs and weapons were seized and two teenagers were charged in a major bust in Belleville Tuesday afternoon.

Belleville Police responded to the area of Front St. following a report of an altercation involving unknown weapons around 2:15 p.m. and officers learned that the suspects had already fled the scene.

Police began an investigation and attended a nearby business where they located two males believed to be involved.

One of those males was reportedly in possession of a loaded firearm.

Both were arrested and taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:

· 72 grams of fentanyl

· 2 grams of cocaine

· 58.5 Tylenol 3 pills with codeine

· 44 Xanax pills

· 17 unknown pills

· 1 x 9mm Smith and Wesson Handgun, with eight 9mm bullets and magazine

· $4434.55 CAD Currency

A 17-year-old Hamilton male, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act was arrested and charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Careless use of Firearm

· Carry Concealed Weapon

· Possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number on it has been tampered with

· Possession of weapon for Dangerous purpose

· Possession of a loaded Restricted Firearm

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

· Poss of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Xanax

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Codeine

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

· Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

 

A 17-year-old Courtice male, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act was arrested and charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number on it has been tampered with

· Possession of weapon for Dangerous purpose

· Possession of a loaded Restricted Firearm

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

· Poss of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Xanax

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Codeine

· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

· Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
