By Brock Ormond May 4, 2026 | 12:47 PM

It’s municipal election nomination season and filings have been flowing in the first couple of days of the window being open.

Two candidates each have filed for mayor in Belleville, Prince Edward County and Tweed, while incumbent Brighton mayor Brian Ostrander is vying to win his seat back and current councillor Zack Card is aiming for the mayor’s seat occupied by Jim Harrison in Quinte West.

Candidate nomination updates may be done daily Monday through Friday, depending on municipality.
