The Quinte West Detachment OPP has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop, where an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, charges were laid under the Criminal Code (CC) and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

Bradley Clark, 29, from Brighton, was charged with impaired driving, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus and making an unsafe move on lane or shoulder

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 28, 2026. Additionally, the vehicle they were operating was impounded for seven days, and their licence suspended for 90 days.
