Officers from the Central Hastings OPP have laid charges in an impaired driving investigation early in the Easter Weekend.

Friday just after 6:30 p.m., police received a report from a concerned citizen of an erratic driver travelling southbound on Highway 62 north of Madoc.

Officers eventually located the vehicle on Highway 7 travelling eastbound in the Municipality of Tweed.

Nicholas Dean, 27, of Stirling, was arrested and charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand and careless driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 14.
