Two local police services combined their efforts to deal with an incident where a driver was in medical distress on Thursday.
Tyendinaga Police Service officers provided assistance to Belleville Police in the Shannonville area during an active incident involving a driver experiencing medical distress who had left the City of Belleville in the afternoon hours.
As a result of the incident, temporary traffic congestion occurred at the intersection of York Road and Old Highway 2 while emergency services responded and ensured public safety.
All emergency services cleared the area by 6 pm, and the intersection fully reopened to normal traffic flow.
The Tyendinaga Police Service thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during this incident.
