Belleville officials advising of live fire training this week

Belleville Fire & Emergency Services will be holding live fire training at Station #2 (72 Moira St.) Tuesday, March 24, through Saturday, March 28.

During this time, residents may see “smoke” in the area, but this “smoke” is theatrical and non-toxic.

The training unit being utilized is propane-based and uses simulated smoke to create realistic scenarios for crews to train with.

City officials say there is no threat to the public.
