Two cats were rescued by firefighters as crews dealt with a major blaze on Sunday night in Quinte West.
Around 6:30 pm, Firefighters from Station 4 (Tucker’s Corners) responded to a blaze at a home on Frankford Road.
The front window blew out as firefighters approached the house.
Miraculously, there were no injuries.
Damages are estimated at approximately 500-thousand dollars. The investigation into the cause is continuing.
The fire also involved a very tense feline rescue.
The single owner of the home was very concerned about her two cats, but a short time later, two firefighters brought them out of the burning house to safety.
