CEED Funding provided to five local non-profit organizations

By Brock Ormond Mar 18, 2026 | 1:36 PM

Local non-profit organizations are receiving funding support for the work they do to help community members of all ages.

Trenval Business Development Corporation has distributed $37,300 in non-repayable CEED funding to support five impactful organizations across the Bay of Quinte region.

The Community Empowerment for Economic Development (CEED) funding program is designed to support initiatives that strengthen local communities, enhance services, and contribute to broader economic and social well-being.

The 2026 recipients are:

· Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation – $10,000

· Quinte SailAbility – $8,300

· Quinte West Youth Centre – $8,000

· Community Partners for Success – $7,000

· Children’s Safety Village Belleville – $4,000

CEED funding, administered by Trenval Business Development Corporation and supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), is intended to advance projects that create meaningful community impact through local non-profit initiatives.

“Through CEED funding, we are able to support organizations that are doing critical work in our communities,” said Graham Copestake, Executive Director of Trenval Business Development Corporation. “These investments help strengthen local capacity, enhance services, and contribute to the overall resilience and well-being of the region.”

Trenval looks forward to seeing the impact these projects will have and the continued contributions these organizations make to the Bay of Quinte community.
