The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton has confirmed to the Canadian Press, that the home-built plane that left the Oshawa airport on Friday, has been located.
JRCC staff have announced that the plane was located in the Kawartha Lakes. The plane was located on Wolf Lake, in the Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park. The 73-year-old pilot who has been identified as David, has not been found.
The OPP are currently treating the case as a missing person’s investigation.

Aircraft from CFB Trenton spent much of the weekend conducting a search for an overdue plane in the Kawartha Lakes region.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton posted late last night that they were continuing to look for an aircraft that was reported overdue on Friday morning.
Durham Regional Police issued a post on social media about the missing man on Friday. It is included below.
