A woman from Oshawa will appear in court next month after being charged in connection with historical sexual assaults in Northumberland.
Earlier this summer on June 28, Northumberland OPP received a report regarding incidents occurred between the summer months of 2024 and March 2026 at an address in Hamilton Township.
The accused and victim were known to each other during the period in which the incidents are reported to have occurred.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit began an investigation into the incidents which resulted in one person being taken into custody on August 22.
A 20-year-old female has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference
The accused is not being named to protect the identity of the victim.
