Part of eastbound 401 closed in Napanee area following collision

A section of the eastbound Highway 401 faced a full closure overnight following a multi-vehicle collision reported in Lennox and Addington County.

The OPP reported the shutdown from Palace Road in Napanee to County Road 4 in Odessa due to the collision one kilometer east of County Road 4.

The crash happened a little before midnight

Some vehicles were backed up and some were forced to get off at the Emergency Detour Route to return to the highway.

There is no word on injuries as of this time.
