Dukes drop preseason set versus Cobourg

The Wellington Dukes spent the weekend shaking off some rust against the Cobourg Cougars in OJHL preseason action.

The Dukes dropped a home-and-home set to the Cougars 4-2 on Saturday at Lehigh Arena and 8-5 at the Cobourg Community Centre Sunday afternoon.

Returning forward Blake Berthiaume scored once in each game, with fellow veteran Zach Mascard finding the net on Saturday.

Barrett Cameron and Riley Misa added a goal and an assist each on Sunday, with Ayden Childerhose and Carter Pectal also scoring for Wellington.

Mason Raycroft, Harris Jogoe, Nathan Ferriss and Lukas Butter all spent time in the net.

Quinte Red Devils AAA graduate Isaac Tracze scored twice for Cobourg in its win on Saturday.
