A key connecting link for pedestrians in Belleville will be shut down for about six weeks while it is replaced.
Work on the Great St. James/Mt. Pleasant stairs will begin this Monday, Aug. 24.
The existing wooden staircase will be removed and replaced with a new galvanized steel staircase. The new stairs will provide greater durability and longevity while helping maintain an important pedestrian connection in our community.
This work is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete.
