The Belleville Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to bring the ribbon and scissors to the grand opening of Belleville North Physiotherapy, owned by Dhananjay (Jay) Padwal, a physiotherapist with 15 years of clinical experience across two countries.
Originally from Mumbai, India, Jay completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Sciences before making Canada home. After five years building relationships and serving patients in Belleville and surrounding communities, opening his own clinic was the next natural next step.
“Physiotherapy has always been more than a profession; it’s a passion,” said Jay. “My goal is to help people recover from pain, restore movement, and confidently return to the activities they enjoy.”
At Belleville North Physiotherapy, located at 80 Millennium Parkway, patients receive one-on-one care with the same physiotherapist throughout their entire recovery, which is a philosophy Jay feels strongly about. The clinic specializes in evidence-based treatment for musculoskeletal conditions including low back pain, neck pain, and sports injuries, with advanced approaches including Manual Therapy and the McKenzie Method (MDT). The focus is always on treating the root cause, not just the symptoms.
The clinic opened its doors on July 27, 2026, and is currently welcoming new patients with a complimentary initial physiotherapy assessment for eligible patients for a limited time.
Joining Jay for the ribbon cutting were: City of Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis, Councillor Garnet Thompson, Councillor Margaret Seu, Councillor Paul Carr who attended on behalf of MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman, MP Chris Malette, BCC Board President Sandi Ramsay, BCC CEO Jill Raycroft, BCC Member Support Specialist Cristina Cadavid, and City of Belleville Destination Development Specialist Michelle Lochan.
Belleville North Physiotherapy is open Monday to Friday at 9:30 a.m. each day; and open until 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and until 3:30 p.m. on Fridays.
