Two people from Trenton charged after traffic stop leads to seizure and charges on 401 in Loyalist Township

Two people from Trenton face charges after a traffic stop turned into much more on Friday on the 401 east of Napanee.

On July 3, 2026, an East Region SAVE member stopped a vehicle on Highway 401 in Loyalist Township for an expired licence plate.

During the investigation, officers seized approximately 2 kilograms of retail-ready illicit cannabis products, valued at an estimated $8,000.

A man and a woman from Trenton were charged with offences under the Cannabis Act.

Their names and the full list of charges have not yet been released.
