Annual hydrant flushing program wraps up this week in Quinte West

Quinte West’s annual hydrant flushing program concludes this week.
Operations will be conducted in Area #9 from July 6 – 10.
The hydrant flushing will happen in all of the Bayside service area (Sidney ward)
Flushing will be carried out daily from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday to Thursday and 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Fridays.
Hydrant flushing ensures proper flows for firefighting and improves water quality by flushing pipes with fresh water. Sediment in the mains can be stirred up briefly during this process, causing dirty water. If this occurs, please run your tap until it clears.
