A man from Oshawa faces a charge of spousal assault following his arrest in Belleville.
On June 23, 2026 (Tuesday night) at 11:30 p.m., Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the involved parties where it was reported that a verbal altercation between a male and a female had escalated, resulting in the male striking the female.
As a result of investigation, a 44-year-old Oshawa man, was arrested and charged with:
· Assault – spousal
He was held for a bail hearing. No name was released.
