More details have been released regarding a search for a Belleville woman on Wednesday.
After 10 a.m., Belleville Police received a report in the city’s north end regarding a female who had fled from a residence where she was required to remain as part of her court ordered conditions.
Staff followed the female for a short distance through a wooded area behind the residence before contacting police.
Officers began a search with the assistance of the K9 Unit, Emergency Response Unit, and a drone, which resulted in location of the woman around 3:50 p.m.
The woman reportedly fled on foot, and after a brief foot pursuit, she was taken into custody a short distance away by officers.
The 27-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:
· Fail to comply with probation
· Outstanding warrants executed
She was held for a bail hearing.
