One familiar name and one new candidate are officially on the ballot for the 2026 municipal election in Belleville.
Business Owner Kelly Henderson (McCaw) has officially filed her nomination for re-election as Ward 1 Councillor for the City of Belleville.
Henderson was first elected to Belleville City Council in 2014 and served until 2022. She returned to council in 2025 and is now seeking another term representing Ward 1 residents.
“I have always taken an outspoken, citizen-focused approach to the issues that affect the day-to-day lives of residents,” said Henderson. “I have also maintained a long-standing commitment to open, transparent municipal government and strong accountability to the people we serve.”
Throughout her years of public service, Henderson has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Belleville Police Service Board, Hastings County Community and Human Services Committee, Long-Term Care Committee, Emergency Medical Services Committee, Humane Society of Hastings and Prince Edward, and the Economic Development and Destination Committee.
