More development is on the way for Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings to break ground on a triplex on Flat Street in Deseronto.
The multi-unit development will house three local families once its built and will be fully accessible with two bedrooms in each unit.
MBQ Chief R. Don Maracle adds the three units will be ‘Net-Zero-Energy-Ready.’
This development project costs a total of $985,719, with funding coming through Indigenous Services Canada’s Housing Gaps program.
