Belleville Caribbean Committee gearing up for 2026 Festival in August

Belleville will celebrate its 5th Caribbean Festival which showcases Caribbean culture through music, food, and community engagement in mid-August.

This free, family celebration of Caribbean culture (with the main event on August 15th) has become a diverse part of the fabric of Belleville. While the committee remains focused on presenting a high-quality cultural experience, limited funding continues to present challenges.

Last August over 10,000 people participated in the three-day celebration generating over $1.1 million dollars of economic impact to local businesses, air b&bs and hotels. Each year the festival continues to grow and has become a signature event for Eastern Ontario. Community support, sponsorships, and partnerships are essential to ensuring the continued success of the Belleville Caribbean Festival. Without this support, the event would not be possible.

Belleville Caribbean Festival – Fast Facts:

  • November 2025 the BCFC raised funds, collected food and supplies for Jamaica Hurricane Melissa relief which were hand delivered.

  • This year over 500lbs of food has been donated to Gleaners Food Bank on behalf of the BCFC.

  • Each year the festival provides over 30 local artists and performers with the opportunity to showcase their talents.

  • In four years, this event has supported over 520 local small businesses.

  • Supports Downtown Belleville businesses through increased visitor traffic of over 10,000 people of which 3,500 were out of town guests (TREIM 2025 data) increasing vendor opportunities and tourism spending.

  • $1.1 million economic impact to The City of Belleville in 2025.

The Belleville Caribbean Festival, a marquee event for the City of Belleville and The Bay of Quinte Region, has maintained this vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture, now in its 5th year. Organizers invite you to be a part of this one-of-a-kind event!
