Smile Cookie Week a sweet success in support of new Campbellford hospital

By Paul Martin May 12, 2026 | 10:40 AM

The Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation is proud to celebrate a tremendous success following this
year’s Smile Cookie Week at Campbellford Tim Hortons. Thanks to extraordinary community support, nearly 10,000
Smile Cookies were sold, raising an incredible $20,167.64 in support of the New Campbellford Hospital. This
milestone represents a record-breaking campaign for the Campbellford location, which also earned the distinction of
#1 Smile Cookie seller across West Hastings and Northumberland.

“What we saw during Smile Cookie Week was the true spirit of the Greater Campbellford community,” said Tim Hortons
Restaurant Owner Jimmy Robertson. “People showed up in a big way—individuals, families, businesses—everyone
wanted to be part of the New Campbellford Hospital Smile Cookie campaign. That kind of support speaks volumes
about how much this hospital means to our community. We’re incredibly proud of what we accomplished together, and
we’re excited to announce that we will be directing Smile Cookie Week proceeds to the New Campbellford Hospital for
the next four years.”

The CMH Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to the entire Tim Hortons team, including Store Manager Brenda
Ruelland and their exceptional staff. Smile Cookie Week is an intense and high-energy campaign, and their willingness
to go above and beyond—with extra hours, outstanding teamwork, and enthusiastic customer engagement—played a
critical role in this campaign’s success.

“This incredible result is a testament to both Jimmy’s leadership and the generosity of our community,” said Martha
Hunt, Chair of the CMH Foundation. “We are deeply grateful for this record-breaking achievement and especially for
Jimmy’s commitment to support the New Campbellford Hospital through the Smile Cookie campaign for the next four
years. That level of dedication will have a meaningful and lasting impact on healthcare in our community.”
Proceeds from Smile Cookie Week will help advance the development of a modern, state-of-the-art hospital
ensuring access to high-quality care close to home for generations to come.

A community cheque presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at 1:00 PM at the Campbellford Tim
Hortons, with Jimmy Robertson, Brenda Ruelland, Tim Hortons staƯ, and members of the CMH Foundation Board on
hand to celebrate this remarkable achievement.

The CMH Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to every person who purchased a cookie, pre-ordered in bulk,
volunteered their time decorating cookies, or helped spread the word. Together, this community is building something
truly special.
