The Quinte West OPP has charged a local resident in an impaired driving investigation.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers with the Quinte West OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 33 leading to an investigation where an ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Eleanor Conroy, 55, from Quinte West, was charged with impaired driving and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 11.

Additionally, the vehicle they were operating was impounded for seven days, and their licence suspended for 90 days.
