One person died following a crash on Highway 33 (Bath Road) in the Bath area early Thursday morning.

On Thursday, April 23, 2026, at approximately 12:00 a.m., members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a single vehicle collision where a motorcycle went into a guardrail.

As a result of the collision, the 27-year-old driver from the City of Brampton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Bath Road remained closed in both directions for several hours between Sir John Johnson Drive and Lennox and Addington County Road 4 for the on-site investigation, with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams. Bath Road reopened shortly before 6 am.

Anyone with information or video footage of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
