A frost advisory is in effect for the Quinte region on a chilly Thursday night.

Environment Canada says patchy frost is expected as temperatures drop to near or below freezing overnight into early Friday morning.

Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas and damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.

Residents are encouraged to cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
